Not a problem! MagicalButter.com wants our supporters to know that we will always work with them to ensure that the MB experience everyone receives is grade A. MagicalButter.com offers a warranty registration for your machine through the website. Search “Registration” in the search bar through MagicalButter.com. Select “Warranty Registration”. You want to make sure you keep your receipt of purchase for legal purposes and to show proof of purchase! Regardless, on the bottom of your machine there will be a serial number. Input that number along with any other information that is asked for; this will make our process much faster and more efficient when it comes to getting you a new machine.

+ What is the difference between the MagicalButter machine and a double boiler?

With a double boiler (or with a Crock-Pot) many variables are left to chance, including how long to cook extractions, how often to stir, what temperature is best to achieve optimum results, the best way to filter, limiting nutrient loss, and controlling odors. Also, such devices include no immersion blender, digital thermostat, or onboard computer, making them incapable of doing what our multipurpose cooker and Botanical Extractor™ does. The MagicalButter machine is scientifically designed for a specific purpose: infusing your butter and oils—or creating incredible recipes—with little or no tedious labor. We took our customers’ preferences and requirements into full consideration when designing and developing the advanced technology that governs the unit. Unique among kitchen appliances, your MagicalButter device is encoded with microprocessor-controlled program sequences to optimize your results—consistently and predictably. As long as the directions are carefully followed, there should never be an error or an “uh-oh” moment; TeamMB has effectively designed those out of the culinary experience for you.

+ What is the purpose of the LED lights, and what do they tell me?

The lights on the machine serve a significant purpose. When on, the lights will determine whether the machine is completing a cycle. When off, the cycle has finished. This is a silent way for the machine to operate and a helpful way for the user to distinguish and visualize whether their finished product is done or not. *HANDLE WITH CARE, APPLIANCE WILL BE HOT*

+ What does each button do?

Each button runs a preset, microprocessor-controlled cycle: grinding, heating, extracting, and stirring. To intensify your results, simply extend your extraction time by selecting a longer cycle. The standard cycle time for oil is 1 hour, for butter 2 hours, and for tincture 4 or 8 hours. The Clean function has a run time of about 3 minutes.

+ My oven fluctuates in temperature while in use. How do keep it at 121°C while I’m decarbing?

Keep a watchful eye on the DecarBox thermometer. You can open the oven door to vent heat from oven if the temperature becomes 129°C or higher.

+ What is the best way to preserve your fresh herbs for later use?

Vacuum sealing and freezing is a good way to store for long periods of time. But the one ways to be able to store it forever without any risk of loss or damage is to make a tincture. A high proof alcohol will hold plant materials for an extremely long time, as mold cannot survive in alcohol.

+ Can I re-melt and modify gummies that have already settled and cooled?

Absolutely, you can!

+ How long will my tinctures last?

Tinctures made with glycerins will degrade and expire much faster than pure alcohol distillations. A well-stored alcohol infusion can last years or even decades before degrading.

+ Can I use salted butter rather than unsalted to make Magical Butter?

We recommend unsalted as to make it easier for baking and cooking, and as to not over salt your recipes. For example: too much salt would lessen yeast reaction in baking infused breads.

+ Will the DecarBox mask the smell of my herbs?

The DecarBox will reduce, but not eliminate the smell of your herbs while they’re heating.

+ What are terpenes, and why do they matter?

Terpenes are responsible for the flavor and aroma of c-nnabis. They reside in the same glands as the c-nnabinoids called trichomes. They’re directly responsible for the unique feeling associated with each strain. Two plants may have similar sativa or indica structures, but completely different terpene profiles, which could result in two very different experiences.

+ How do I know if my Magical Butter has gone bad?

There will be mold visible and/or smell rancid. Many users are able to salvage some of their infused product by scraping off the mold-affected area, doing so at your own risk.

+ How do I clarify butter myself?

Heat your unclarified butter on the stove until it melts, then skim the fat off of the top as it heats. Do not boil though! You just want enough heat to bring the milks solids to the top. Continue to do this untill all of the white is gone. The remaining product is clarified butter.

+ Why should I use clarified butter?

Clarified butter has an extended shelf life, can be stored at room temperature, and helps to prevent scorching when cooking at high temperatures. It also is much easier to strain due to the lack of milk solids.

+ Can I use Canola or Extra Virgin Olive Oil in my Magical Butter Machine?

No, it is not recommended. Canola, extra virgin, soybean ,corn oil etc. have a lower saturated fat content in them which means less absorption. These oils also do not contain any medium chain triglycerides, so they are poor solvents for extraction. We recommend using coconut oil instead for maximum results!

+ Can I use margarine in place of butter?

No, because margarine does not have the correct saturated fats to hold large amounts of c-nnabinoids. We recommend using unsalted, clarified butter!

+ My Machine is beeping and blinking red and won’t stop, what do I do?

Start by taking the head of the machine off, and clean off the overflow sensor. This sensor is the smallest of the probes on your head unit, with a black casing. If the issues persists then give us a call and we can help troubleshoot further!

+ Can I use the trim from my plant in the Magical Butter machine?

Absolutely! Shake, trim, stems - all of it can be used in the machine. It should be decarbed like regular flower though and can be used for any infusion, such as butter or coconut oil!

+ What is a tincture?

A tincture is a liquid concentrate created through alcohol extraction, which pulls out many of the plant’s beneficial c-nnabinoids. A few drops under the tongue may be a sufficient dose, but can also be safely used to infuse foods or drinks. Tinctures can be made in a variety of flavors and is a great way to medicate without inhalation. + What are C-nnabinoids?

C-nnabinoids (e.g., T-C, C-D, C-G) are the chemical compounds secreted by sativa and indica flowers that provide relief to an array of symptoms including pain, nausea, anxiety, and inflammation. These work their medicinal magic by imitating compounds our bodies naturally produce, called endoc-nnabinoids, which activate to maintain internal stability and health. To put a complex system simply, they mediate communication between cells, and when there is a deficiency or problem with our endoc-nnabinoid system, unpleasant symptoms and physical complications occur.

+ What is the difference between MBO, FECO, and RSO?

MBO (Magical Butter Oil) is a ‘catch-all’ term we use that encompasses alcohol tinctures, infused oils, etc. made in the MagicalButter machine. FECO refers more specifically to an alcohol extracted and reduced concentrate. It’s the natural plant oil with no additional carrier oil. FECO also uses grain or ethyl alcohol whereas RSO uses isopropyl alcohol.

+ What is a topical and how do I make it?

Topicals are infused lotions, balms, and oils that are absorbed through the skin for localized relief. Click the link below for recipes to make your own MagicalButter Topicals!

Please note that coupon codes are only applicable to the MagicalButter MB2e Machine and individual products, and exclude our Bundles.

+ What is the purpose of lecithin?

Lecithin is an emulsifier, which is an ingredient that helps other ingredients mix more easily and remain mixed. Lectihin helps the beneficial molecules of your plant bind to the fats in your butters and oils.

+ What is the best kind of coconut oil to use?

Liquid unrefined coconut oil (organic if possible).

+ What is MCT oil?

MCT stands for medium chain triglycerides or medium chain fatty acids. They’re types of fat most often derived from coconut oil but sometimes made from palm oil.

+ No, we do not recommend it.

No, we do not recommend it.

+ My thermometer keeps reading the same numbers, what do I do?

We include a sneaky sticker on the face of the thermometer. Be sure to peel it off prior to use!

+ Does the Magical Butter Machine decarb?

No, you cannot properly decarboxylate in the MB2e. We do offer our DecarBox for doing so though.

+ Do I have to decarb my herbs prior to using the MB2e?

Yes, if you are planning on ingesting then it is always recommended. Decarbing your herbs "activates" them for your body to use, and increases the potency of the plant’s medicinal and psychoactive properties.

+ What’s the difference in the numbers with the Purify Filters?

The numbers associated with each purify filter indicates the number of microns between each pore of the filter:

-25 microns (µ) is a super fine pore size, best for straining pollens and more fine particles

-73 µ is for a finer tincture and better clarity—removes more plant residue from alcohol

-90 µ is for tincture and captures even finely ground sediment—for thin consistency of alcohol

-190 µ is ideal for use with cooking oils and makes the process a breeze

-220 µ is a larger pore size, great for butters and thicker extracts

+ When I purchase the MB machine will I have everything I need to create oils, butters, and tinctures?

When purchasing the MB2e 110V; know that it will contain the MB2e machine, The Magical Glove, and 1 Purify Filter 190 Bag. MagicalButter offers other accessories at MagicalButter.com, like the DecarBox, 3-pack spatulas, Gummy Trays, Butter Trays, and more!

+ My machine isn’t shutting off by itself, what do I do?

We've heard of this happening occasionally. It seems it only happens on the 2 hour cycle the first time you use the machine. The good news is, your infusion is fine! We recommend unplugging the machine from the outlet and straining your infusion like normal. The fix we recommend is running the machine with water, filling halfway between the Min & Max line. It should self correct and shut off at the 2 hours. If for some reason it doesn’t, give us a call and we’re happy to help.

+ How do I clean my machine?

Begin by rinsing the pitcher and blades (Remember: DO NOT immerse any electrical or black plastic parts). Fill halfway between MIN and MAX lines with water and add a drop of dish soap to the mix. Finally, secure the lid and press “Clean” button. For best results, it is recommended to clean immediately after use.

+ What type of alcohol do I use for my tincture?

Here at MagicalButter.com we recommend using 150-190 proof (75% ABV or higher) Grain Alcohol.

+ My country doesn’t sell high proof alcohol, what do I do?

Any alcohol 150 proof (75% ABV) or above will suffice. You may also be able to order food grade, high proof alcohol online from: https://www.extractohol.com/

+ When is the magical butter machine done?

After the machine is done with the designated time you set, the machine will turn off automatically. It will beep and then all the lights will be flashing red. You can then flip the top and strain your infusion.

+ Does the MagicalButter Machine turn off on its own?

Yes, the machine turns off automatically after the time you have set is complete.

+ What is the maximum herb I can put into the Magical Butter machine?

If you are using up to 3 cups, you can use up to 1 oz of plant matter per cup. If you go over 3 cups of solvent, you will need to reduce the amount of product due to the capacity of the machine.

+ How to make Magical Butter stronger?

The strength of the butter depends on the potency and the quantity of the herb you're using. Those are the factors that play into how strong your substance will be.

+ How do I store the MagicalButter machine?

We recommend cleaning, drying and keeping it in the original box or storing it like a regular kitchen appliance in your cabinet. If you keep your original box, however, lots of our customers like to use their box to store their accessories all in one place.

+ What are the Magical Butter machine instructions?

The Magical Butter instruction handbook will be located within the machine Box itself. You can also find it online here.

+ Should I use clarified butter or regular butter?

You can use either one. It is a preference. We recommend clarified butter because it lasts longer, has a stronger lipid count, which makes it easier to infuse. It is also a dairy-free alternative with a longer shelf life. However, you can use regular unsalted butter.

+ Does the MagicalButter machine smell?

The machine does have a scent-lock technology so the majority of the smell will be contained within the machine. It does not mask it 100% but the lingering smell will dissipate very shortly. Decarboxylation does provide a smell but with our Decarbox and airtight lid, we are confident this will be somewhat masked as well. When transferring the herb from the Decarbox to the Machine there will be a small scent that emits but within the containers, it will be severely masked.

+ How to clean the MagicalButter machine?

The Machine has a clean functionality/button. After you're done with your infusion, we recommend a pre-rinse to remove the large pieces of plant matter left in your machine. Then, you fill-up the machine halfway between the 2 and 5 cup mark and add some dish soap (about the size of a penny) and set for the clean cycle. Once it's done, simply rinse it out and dry or buff the machine before returning it to storage.

+ Where to buy cheapest MagicalButter machine?

While buying a machine from Magical's official listing on Amazon does not void a warranty on the machine, buying from an unofficial seller on eBay or the Black Market would void your warranty because we cannot guarantee the machine has been refurbished or not used.

+ Is the MagicalButter Machine really worth it?

The MagicalButter Machine is a great investment for anyone looking to take their edible experiences to the next level. Simply combine all parts of the plant with butters, oils or tinctures. These are the base ingredients for all culinary infusions. Create sauces, soups, salad dressings, traditional recipes, desserts & more using all your culinary creations made in the MagicalButter Machine. Don't waste money at the store on edibles, lotions or salves when you can make them at home with the machine. It pays for itself. Customers and patients receive peace of mind knowing exactly what they're placing into their bodies and can control the dosage and strength of their infusion based on the amount of plant matter and strain-type they use.

Yes you can put your infusion in the freezer and increase it's shelf life. If kept frozen, it will keep for roughly 3-6 months.

+ How much butter does the MagicalButter Machine make?

The capacity of the machine is 2-5 cups. We recommend 7-14 grams of herb per cup that is used as a recommended started amount.

+ Does my MagicalButter lose potency?

Yes, it will degrade after some time. But if you store it properly. Cool, dark places without humidity will preserve the medicine longer. For example, your freezer! 3-6 months if you are simply just keeping in the fridge. The butter would go bad before the medicine lost it's potency though.

+ Can I use my Magical Butter immediately after straining?

Yes, once you decarb, infuse, and strain your infusion, it's a ready-to-use product. No need to wait!

+ Can you decarb in MagicalButter machine?

In short, no. To activate the THC in your cannabis, you need to heat your herbs up to 250 degrees (we recommend using our Decarbox) in a standard oven to activate the herbs and create the best infusion possible.

+ Can you vape MagicalButter oil?

No. We don't recommend it. You can but you would be smoking an extract of the entire plant as opposed to an extract of only the THC in a plant, so you would not really get the same effect. Not all oils are created equally. When we are speaking of oils, we are referring to cooking oils (preferably coconut oil, olive, grapeseed, sunflower, almond, walnut, sesame, avocado, macadamia or peanut oil; NOT recommended are ordinary soybean, canola, extra virgin olive, and corn oil. We found that you get the most benefits from ingesting it. It is also the most cost-effective method as opposed to smoking it.

+ Can you vape MagicalButter tincture?

No. The tincture is best used sublingually (under your tongue) or combined in recipes, hard candies, & gummies. Tincture can also be reduced by evaporating all of the alcohol out to get a full extracted cannabis oil. This oil is very powerful. It is known by many names: RSO (Rick Simpson Oil), MBO (Magical Butter Oil), or FECO (Full Extracted Cannabis Oil).

+ Can you make vape oil with it [magical butter]?

We do not recommend it. The best way to make your oils is to use Rozin or an already extracted wax and mixing that with a safe carrier. At this time, we don't have any recommendations on creating smokeable creations as opposed to edible ones.

+ How long does magic butter last?

An average batch (if frozen) will last up to about 6 months. The butter itself will retain its potency. The butter will spoil before it loses its effect. Ghee butter will have a longer shelf life as well because of the lack of milk fats. It's really all about the storage of butter!

+ I don't have a DecarBox. Are there any other methods that I can use to decarb?

We still recommend using your regular conventional oven but combining it with a thermometer to ensure accuracy. Also, you need a container that is airtight. Examples include a covered baking dish, a jar, or an oven-safe turkey bag that is tied off. The main purpose of this is that you want to preserve all of the essences. When you heat it up, some of that you will burn off and escape. Some of the things that burn off at the lower temperatures (various terpenes & flavonoids) so you can condense it down and save it all with an airtight container.

+ Why is decarboxylation important?

Decarboxylation is important because cannabis in its raw form is THC-A or CBD-A (the acidic, non-psychoactive chemical). It requires heating those compounds up to the perfect temperature to remove the carbolic acid and turn it into added THC or CBD. When you smoke you use fire, and the flame is what is activating those chemicals. It is similar with vaporizing however inhalation is not always the best way to receive medicinal cannabis. Ingesting it will be much better in the long-run for one's overall health. If you would like this to work properly, you need to Decarboxylate first!

+ Will the DecarBox make my house/kitchen smell?

The Decarbox is a silicone box that is airtight which also prevents the smell from escaping. It will not smell if you use this product but will smell if you use other 'non-airtight' containers.

+ Does the MagicalButter machine do decarboxylation?

In short, no. To activate the THC in your cannabis, you need to heat your herbs up to 250 degrees (we recommend using our Decarbox) in a standard oven to activate the herbs and create the best infusion possible.

+ Can you decarb in MagicalButter machine?

+ Why won’t the MagicalButter Machine operate when filled below the MIN line or above the MAX line?

The internal programming of the MagicalButter machine is designed to quickly and automatically shut the device down if cooking is attempted with either too little or too much material inside. If the pitcher is filled below the MIN line, sensors act to prevent overheating; if above the MAX line, to prevent overflow. This important design feature protects your MagicalButter machine and extends its lifespan, ensuring you get the most enjoyment possible from your experience.

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS SELECT TEMPERATURE FIRST; THEN PRESS THE DESIRED TIME BUTTON.

The Clean button runs the automatic self-cleaning cycle.

The Blend button (present on certain models) operates the manual blending function.

+ What is the purpose of the LED lights, and what do they tell me?

Aside from providing ambiance and a colorful, entertaining light show in your kitchen, the integrated LED display encircling the top of your MagicalButter appliance has an important, functional purpose: continuously informing you of the machine’s operating status. The lights are strategically positioned to reflect off the ceiling in a dark room during operation. As the device is exceptionally quiet when not blending or stirring, the LED display constantly and silently indicates that the cooking cycle is proceeding. The lights automatically shut off, and the unit beeps, to notify you when the cycle is completed.
